  • You have demonstrated your effectiveness in using all components of the Fluency Builders Orton-Gillingham based program.

How it Works

Early Literacy Solutions offers a single certification – the Certified Dyslexia Practitioner (CDP) - which is administered in 3 Parts. You can take as long as you need to complete the 3 parts, but the minimum  time frame for completing all 3 parts will require approximately 6 months of working with a student who is in second grade or above. You can register for Part 1 as soon as you have purchased the Fluency Builders Dyslexia Program.

You can begin working on your certification (Part 1) as you screen your first student. The certification process involves passing two online exams and submitting videos of the student screening, the parent conference, and before and after videos of the student's reading performance.

The Certification Steps Must Be Completed in the Following Order:

PART 1 ($200)

Online Exam based on the Screener and Screener Video

Submission of 2 videos

  • Student Video: (Student must be in second grade or above.) You will video record the entire screening.

  • Parent Conference Video: 30 minute video clip from your conference in which you explain the results/recommendations from the screening to the parent(s).

PART 2 ($100)

Online Exam based on

  • The Fluency Builders Program

  • The Teacher Toolkit and the Teacher Toolkit video

  • The 3 training videos for the Fluency Builders program

       Fluency Builders 1-5 video

       Fluency Builders 6-10 video

PART 3 ($200)

Submission of 3 videos (before and after 6 months of intervention with a single student – student must be a second grader or older at the beginning of the intervention). This must be the same student you screened for Part 1. You will receive specific instructions for the video clips when you register for Part 3.
